Who is Rick Moranis?
Rick Moranis, born Frederick Allan Moranis on April 18, 1953, is a Canadian actor, comedian, musician, songwriter, writer, and producer. He first gained recognition on the 1980s sketch comedy series “Second City Television” (SCTV). Moranis is well-known for his roles in films such as “Ghostbusters,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “Spaceballs,” and “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.” Following the death of his wife in 1991, he stepped away from acting to raise his two children. Although he hasn’t acted in live-action films for over 25 years, he has voiced characters in animated movies like Disney’s “Brother Bear” (2003). Recently, he agreed to star in a sequel to “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” titled “Shrunk,” but as of 2024, the film has not yet started production.Continue reading
