Deena Centofanti, a renowned American journalist and health reporter, currently works at Fox 2 Detroit. Born on October 4, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan, she grew up with her parents, Marsha and Joe Centofanti, and her brother Joyce, who was born deaf and has cerebral palsy. Deena’s passion for journalism ignited during her high school years, leading her to earn a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Miami University in Ohio.
She began her career in 1990 as a production assistant at WSYX in Columbus, Ohio. By 1993, she transitioned to an on-air role as a morning show anchor in Steubenville. In 1996, Deena joined Fox 2 Detroit, where she became a prominent health reporter, covering key events such as the impeachment of President Clinton and Pope John Paul II’s visit to St. Louis.
